Live-stream: Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes
Reassessments of phenomena experienced in the past but rejected by most now began to take place. Major among these were the so-called “near-death experiences” (NDEs), which had been recorded since time immemorial. A person clinically dead comes back to life and reports traveling while “dead” to various transcendental dimensions or realms. … {T]hose experiencing a near-death event reported encountering not only family and friends who had passed over, but orbs of intelligent light, guides, guardians, angels, religious figures, and even the Savior Himself. These near-death experiences, then, at least verged on the realms or dimensions traditionally recognized as holy.
-- Ingo Swann, The Great Apparitions of Mary
There are times, he is saying, when a part of us connects with the beyond, his entering transcendental dimensions or realms. In these moments, when we are more connected to this beyond than to our current reality, something from beyond reaches out to us. This often takes the form of something revered, sacred, or holy – but perhaps it is more accurately something we have been accustomed to worshiping. The concept of something reaching out to us in the form of sacredness is not confined to a meeting in a faraway place outside our understanding. It can happen right here and now, in our present reality. And when it does, the implications are profound.
Fair is foul and foul is fair.
