If of life you keep a care,
Shake off slumber, and beware:
Awake, awake!
Ingo Swann | Maverick Starbuster
There are moments when I crave to live in a world of my own imagination, where the harrowing events and encounters of my past can be dismissed as figments of my innermost fears and desires. But truth always brings me back to earth, reminding me that there are some things I cannot simply dismiss as inventive musings. My uncle’s presence in my life alone has been enough to bar me from such blissful ignorance. As I’ve grown from a young adult into motherhood and now being over fifty, these incidents continue to weave in and out of my life, taking the most convoluted routes. I thought I could simply label them as mere "experiences,” but then something else happened – it began with a dream. It was then that I knew these occurrences were more than just random happenings; they were intertwined with my very being, leaving a mark on my soul that could never be erased.
On making the album with Ingo and how Star Fire, Ingo's novel, just disappeared.
