I flipped the pages, moving on to stage two of Murphy’s investigation at Livermore. Apparently, it all began in the parking lot near Penn Trail, right next to the cemetery. It was like I had both a sixth sense and no sense at all; I had been there earlier but had no idea how significant that spot really was. In my dream, I was drawn to the railroad tracks further north, and now I understood why. As Murphy and his team were investigating in the parking lot, they encountered two young men who had just finished fishing at a nearby pond along the former train tracks. These men claimed to have been followed by some kind of creature. The team searched for evidence along the trail but found nothing and returned to the parking lot. As night fell, they began scanning the area with flashlights and soon their light was blocked by a large black mass, which Murphy described as “absorbing” the light before disappearing into the woods beyond the fence blocking the cemetery road.
